Changing the lamp

Write the fitting date on a label near your chiller so you know when the next change is due, as a lamp that still glows may no longer give effective UV-C output. When replacing it, clean any glass or quartz parts around the lamp, as a film of deposits blocks the light. If you dose live bacteria products or certain medications, check their instructions, as many advise switching UV off during treatment. Before ordering, confirm your chiller is fitted with the TECO UV-C Kit.

Unplug before servicing and never look at a lit UV-C lamp. Replace the lamp at the interval TECO recommends, as UV output falls with use even while the lamp still lights.
