API Pond Algaefix is a fast-acting algae control for ponds, water gardens and ornamental fountains with live plants and fish. It tackles blanketweed (Oedogonium), string or hair algae (Cladophora) and green water blooms, slows the formation of new growth and helps resolve ongoing algae problems. It is registered with the US EPA, and once the algae is under control a weekly maintenance dose keeps regrowth in check and cuts down on pond maintenance.

Dosage
Work out your pond volume first and do not overdose. Add 1 teaspoon (5 ml) per 50 US gallons, or a quarter cup per 600 US gallons, near the pump outlet, waterfall or air stone, or mix it in a bucket and spread it around the pond. Repeat every 3 days until the algae is under control, then dose weekly.
Good to know
Do not use it where shrimp, crabs, lobsters or other freshwater crustaceans live, and keep the bottle out of reach of children.
