Hanging your light

Before buying, check that your light is an Aquatlantis EasyLED or EasyLED 2.0, as the kit is made for those fittings. Plan the hanging height with your plants in mind: the higher the light, the wider its spread and the weaker the intensity at the substrate, so start a little higher and lower it if plants struggle. Use fixings suited to your ceiling, whether concrete, timber or plasterboard, and place the hooks directly above the light’s suspension points so the cables hang straight. Leave a drip loop in the power cable, so any water running along it drips off before reaching the plug.

Fix the ceiling mounts securely into a suitable surface and adjust the cables so the light hangs level.
