JBL ProCristal I30

JBL ProCristal i30 is a compact internal filter for aquariums of 10 to 40 litres, keeping the water clear and well oxygenated. Its pump output can be adjusted up to 200 l/h and the outlet rotates to any position, so the flow can be set to suit each tank from 14 cm in height. The fine-pored filter surface stops small fish and shrimp from being drawn in. Suction cups fit on either side, letting you press the filter into place wherever it works best. It uses just 3.7 W and has been TÜV tested.

Extending and adapting the filter

If you want more filter volume later, JBL sells a matching ProCristal i30 module that arrives ready to use with its own filter foam and adds about 3cm, taking the filter to around 15.9cm tall; more than one module can be added for extra capacity. JBL also offers i30-size inserts for particular jobs, including SuperClear, GreenStop and AlgaePrevent cartridges, activated carbon and replacement sponges, so you can swap in a cartridge for a specific water problem when you need it.

Good to know

Position the filter so the outlet sits about 2 cm below the water surface, which keeps the surface moving. Unplug it before lifting it out for cleaning.
