JBL ProTemp S 150W UK-plug

JBL ProTemp S 150W is a safety heater-thermostat for aquariums holding 90 to 200 litres, roughly 80 to 100 cm long, supplied with a UK plug. The temperature is preset on a dial and kept within about 0.5°C of your setting, while a star-shaped ceramic element transfers the heat evenly into the water. Its tube is made of unbreakable quartz safety glass and comes inside a protective basket so fish cannot touch the heater directly. The heater is watertight to 100 cm, switches itself off automatically if the water level drops, and has been TÜV tested.

Fitting and everyday use

Mount the heater at an angle near the filter outlet or intake so warmed water is spread evenly through the tank, and keep it clear of gravel and decorations. Set the dial to the temperature your fish need, anywhere from 20 to 34°C, then check the result after a day with a separate thermometer and fine-tune the dial if needed. The heater switches itself off if the water level drops, but it is still good practice to unplug it before water changes and switch it back on only once it is fully submerged again.

Good to know

To install, slide the heater into its basket, choose the temperature, place it in the aquarium and attach it to the inside pane with the suction cups.
