Training tips

Timing matters most: use the ultrasonic tone the moment your dog starts the unwanted behaviour, such as jumping up or barking at the window, then mark the stop with the positive tone, praise or a treat. Teaching a replacement behaviour, like sitting when visitors arrive, makes progress faster. Other pets in the home, such as cats, may also hear the sound, so watch how they react. Keep a spare 9 V battery handy.
