How to dose it

Reef Potassium contains 10% elemental potassium. Seachem’s beginner dose is one cap (5ml) per 160 litres twice a week, which raises potassium by about 3mg/l. To target a specific rise, Seachem gives a formula: multiply 0.01 by the tank volume in litres and by the increase you want in mg/l, and the result is the dose in ml. The 250ml bottle holds 50 standard doses. Test potassium before you start and again after a few doses, and make large corrections over several days rather than all at once, as sudden swings stress corals.

Test potassium where possible and dose gradually according to the label, as levels change slowly in reef tanks.
