Running a day and night cycle

Run the FCB100 daytime bulb for around 10 to 12 hours to create a bright basking spot, then switch to the IFL100 infrared bulb at night for gentle warmth without bright light; two separate fixtures on timers make the change automatic. At 100 W each, these suit larger enclosures, as smaller set-ups can overheat, so check temperatures at both the warm and cool ends with thermometers.

Good to know

Use the bulb in a ceramic-socket dome fixture rated for its wattage, keep it out of your reptile’s reach and control the temperature with a thermostat. Switch off and let the bulb cool before touching it.
