Choosing the size grade

All three grades come in boxes of about 13.5 to 15.5 kg, so the grade changes the number and size of stones rather than the weight: Small (12 to 18 cm) gives more, smaller pieces, while Large (23 to 28 cm) gives a few bold stones, with roughly 7 to 17 pieces per box depending on the grade. Small suits nano and 60 cm tanks, Medium mid-sized layouts and Large tanks of 90 cm or more. Mixing grades gives a more natural look. Rest heavy stones on the bottom glass, or on egg-crate, before adding substrate so they cannot shift.

Good to know

Rinse each piece before use, plan the layout on the empty tank floor first, and check water hardness after adding new stone, as some rocks can raise it slightly.
