Seachem CoralCrete Purple 114g

Seachem CoralCrete Purple is a two-part epoxy putty for reef aquariums, used to fix coral onto rockwork or to bond pieces of rock together into a sturdier structure. It is well suited to large branching colonies, most large polyp stony corals and plating corals that need a firm hold on the rock. The putty gives you about 5 minutes of working time, long enough to position pieces before it begins to set, and it can be applied in or out of the water. Used as directed, it is safe for aquarium livestock. This tube holds 114g.

How to use

Wear latex gloves if your skin is sensitive. Cut off the amount you need and return the rest to its plastic storage tube. Peel away the film and knead the putty until the colour is even, then press it firmly around the base of the coral or the contact point of the rock so it works into pores and grooves. It starts to set after about 5 minutes, hardens in roughly 15 and is completely hard within 24 hours.

Good to know

Your protein skimmer may foam more than usual while the putty sets, so keep an eye on it during the first day.
