Before replacing the pump

The Tidal 35 is Sicce’s hang-on filter for aquariums of 130-400 litres, with a self-priming pump and self-cleaning impeller rated at 500 litres per hour. If the filter has become noisy or the flow has dropped, check and clean the rotor first, as Sicce also sells the rotor on its own; replace the complete pump when the motor fails or will not start. This version comes with a UK plug, so make sure that suits your sockets. After fitting, check that the intake and surface skimmer are clear, then set the flow control to suit your tank.
