Feeding guide
Vetafarm describes Wild Earth as a low-sugar complete diet for pet lorikeets, formulated by avian vets to mimic the pollen, fruit and nectar of their wild diet, with bee pollen, fruit and low-GI carbohydrates. As a guide, a lorikeet needs at least 10% of its body weight daily, so a 100g bird eats about 10g, and this 2kg bag would last one such bird over six months. It can be fed dry, freely available as about 80% of the diet, or wet: mix three level tablespoons with four tablespoons of warm water and replace it every 24 hours. Store the bag somewhere dry below 30°C.
