Using the blade safely

Keep the blade for the stubborn spots that the pads leave behind, such as coralline algae or hard film, and work it in slow, steady strokes rather than scrubbing back and forth at speed. Stay a few centimetres above the substrate, as a single grain of sand trapped under the edge can scratch the glass. Rinse the blade after each session so salt and debris do not dry onto it.
