When and how to use it

A good time to clean hoses is during a routine filter service, or whenever the outflow weakens even though the media is clean. Work over a bucket or sink, feeding the brush through from one end and back several times, then flush the hose with water until it runs clear. The 1 m flexible shaft follows bends in tubing, and a head at each end lets you tackle long runs from both sides. Check that the bristle heads suit the inner width of your tubing, as very narrow airline needs a smaller brush.

Good to know

Disconnect the hoses first, push the brush through while rinsing with water, and rinse the brush clean afterwards.
