AquaMaxx ConeS Q Series In-Sump Protein Skimmer – Q-6

The AquaMaxx Q-6 is a powerful in-sump protein skimmer built to fit space-limited installations on large marine and reef systems. Its hybrid cone body extends up through the collection cup, which eases bubble transition and concentrates the organic-rich foam as it rises. A modified Sicce needle-wheel pump produces fine bubbles for efficient skimming, and a micro-adjustable valve lets cleaned water leave at the base of the chamber, where there are fewer bubbles. The new outlet design keeps the footprint and height down.

Good to know

Stand the skimmer in the sump at the recommended water depth, then use the adjustment valve to set the foam from wet to dry. Leave about 1/2 inch above the collection cup so it can be lifted off for cleaning.
