Aquatlantis Easyled Transformer 24V – 3.5 A

The Aquatlantis EasyLED Transformer 24V powers Aquatlantis EasyLED light units and is used when you run more than one unit from a single supply. The transformer’s current rating must match the total current your light units need: for example, two units of 2.5A each need a 5A transformer. This transformer is rated 3.5A.

Working out the current needed

You can estimate each EasyLED light unit’s current from its wattage at 24V by dividing the watts by 24, so a 20W 438mm unit draws under 1A and a 72W 1450mm unit about 3A. Add up the figures for every unit you plan to connect and choose a transformer rated at or above the total; the 3.5A version covers combinations of up to about 84W. Aquatlantis specifies the 5A transformer when a splitter cable is used to run two lights from one supply, and an extension cable is available if the socket is some distance from the tank.
