Fitting it to your filter

Pick the adapter that matches your filter hose: the pairs 12/16, 16/22 and 19/25 give the inner and outer hose diameter in millimetres, so measure your hose before you start. Cut the return hose at an easily reached point, push both ends onto the heater and secure them, then run the filter and check every joint for drips. Only switch the heater on once water is flowing through it, and switch it off before you stop the filter for cleaning. Keep the filter media clean, as weak flow reduces how evenly the heat reaches the tank.
