The Seachem Duopad is a double-sided algae pad for aquarium cleaning. One side is micro-abrasive melamine for wiping glass and acrylic walls safely, and the other is a tougher scrubbing side for working algae out of the grooves in rock and wood decor.

Getting the best from it
Use the white melamine side on smooth glass or acrylic panels. Melamine foam is as hard as glass at a microscopic level yet stays flexible thanks to its open-cell structure, so it shaves algae away much like very fine sandpaper and can even lift growth out of small scratches that a blade would miss. Because melamine wears down quickly on rough surfaces, switch to the scrubbing side for rocks, driftwood and stubborn patches. The white colour makes it easy to see how much algae you have lifted. The pad measures about 4.5 x 2.5 inches and is 1 inch thick, and it is chemically inert.
Good to know
Rinse the pad in clean water before and after use, and keep sand away from the pad when cleaning the panels.
