Dosage

For chlorine and heavy metals, add 5 ml per 100 US gallons (about 380 litres) or a quarter cup per 1,200 US gallons. If your tap water contains chloramines, double the dose.

Treat the water as you top up or refill, and ask your water supplier whether chloramines are used locally so you can dose correctly.
