How long a bottle lasts

At the standard dose of 1 ml per 100 litres a day, a 500 ml bottle lasts around 250 days in a 200 litre aquarium, or half that at the higher dose for heavily planted tanks, which makes it easy to work out running costs. Liquid carbon works best alongside good lighting and a regular fertiliser, as plants need light and nutrients to make use of the extra carbon. Dose at the same time each day for steady levels.
